Just a little about me and this site: I am 71 and am a retired RN, having worked as a nurse for 25 years in psychiatric nursing. I love all types of art and art making. I draw, paint, and craft in my spare time. I have always had pets my whole life and currently have two old baby dogs named Austen and Diva.
My interests are as follows. I believe in no-kill and support rescues all across the nation and even abroad. As a retired person, I am quite interested in finding ways to keep myself active and my mind busy. I blog (I have been blogging since 2009 and have several other blogs available), I take courses online and look at social media occasionally (I find that too much time on social media tends to make me feel sad and depressed). I am, as you probably are too, really tired of dealing with this pandemic, but with a daughter who had transplants, I must abide by the guidelines set for us. I hope you also are doing all you can to keep safe and to keep your loved ones safe.
This site is going to be broken up into sections due to the many parts of my world that I want to talk about. I will post art (both my own and some other artists that I get inspiration from); I will post crafts occasionally because I like to do them but not all the time; I will post nursing information and general health information because that is just who I am; I will post about rescues and pets because they deserve an outlet to be heard; I will post funny things about being retired as well as information that can help make retirement a fun time.
So, if any of this interests you, I hope you will follow me and visit this site often.
